Ms. Carla Y Thomas is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. Carla’s graduate degree is a M.A. in Counseling, B.A. in Psychology and A.A. in Science. Ms. Thomas currently works as a Military Family Life Counselor for 8 years at Military Installations stateside and overseas providing non-medical counseling to military service members, dependents, and eligible staff. As a Military Family Life Counselor, she helps individuals with improving social skills, building self-confidence/self-esteem, bullying awareness and prevention, deployment/reintegration, relocating/adjusting and implementing strategies, and teaching self-regulation skills to reduce behavioral concerns that are affecting the everyday quality of life. Ms. Thomas previously worked at MHMRA of Harris County/Harris County Sherriff Office administering psychological evaluations for adult inmates for 6 years in Houston, Texas. She also worked at BBRC Juvenile Department for kids and adolescents facilitating groups/Individual therapy sessions, treatment, and discharge planning for 1 year.
